Building a Brighter Future

A message

from our President

Serving others has been my passion since childhood, sparked by watching Peace Corps commercials on TV. Witnessing people around the world with greater needs than mine inspired me to dedicate my life to making a difference and fostering growth in others. Years later, this vision remains strong.

My goal is to transform the lives of God's people, nurturing not only their physical well-being but also their spiritual growth. I focus on touching lives individually. At New Beginnings Restoration Services, our mission is centered on restoring families, communities, and the world to align with God's original design.

At NBRP, we are dedicated to rebuilding lives and strengthening communities through:

  • Family Unity: We believe in the power of family and are committed to restoring family units and emphasizing the importance of secure housing as the foundation of a stable life.
  • Community Growth: Our community gardens are more than plots of land; they are where people come together, contribute labor, and share the harvest, fostering unity and mutual support.
  • Child Safety: We prioritize our children’s future by securing safe playground areas, ensuring that playtime is not only fun but also safe.
  • Sustainable Living: Our sustainable housing initiative is about more than just building structures; it’s about creating homes that will stand the test of time and improve lives for generations.
  • Spiritual Nourishment: At the heart of our mission is the integration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and spreading God’s love, providing spiritual support and guidance.
  • Financial Education: We equip individuals with the knowledge to achieve financial stability and savings, empowering them to take control of their financial future.
  • Strategic Partnerships: By partnering with organizations like Discovering You, we ensure that families remain safe and secure, enveloped in a network of care and support.

History of NBRP

Founded in 2019

NBRP, initially known as New Beginnings Re-Entry Programs in Oklahoma City, was founded by Pastor Wanda Thomas. Its primary mission was to offer stable housing and support spiritual, emotional, and mental development and well-being for individuals who were previously incarcerated.

Impact and Success

NBRP has successfully reintegrated six women and ten men back into society, fostering employment and repairing relationships with family, church communities, and transportation, through two men's homes and one women's home.

Transition

Until the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, NBRP was dedicated to offering individuals a fresh start. When the pandemic caused NBRP to shut down its facilities, Pastor Thomas turned to prayer to seek guidance on the next steps and how to utilize their current platform to make a positive impact on the world. This shift in focus led to the establishment of New Beginnings Restoration Programs, impacting communities globally.
